Project Details
About the project
The second edition of Europe's Long-Term Growth Champions 2026 lists the top 300 companies in the region that have achieved the highest sustained growth in revenues between 2014 and 2024.
To be included in the list, companies had to be independent, headquartered in Europe and have primarily organic revenue of at least 100,000 EUR generated in 2014 and 10,000,000 EUR generated in 2024. The final list recognizes 300 companies across 31 different industries.
Published online and as a supplement within the weekday edition of the FT newspaper, the annual high-profile list is a visible and public acknowledgement of fast-growing businesses in Europe.
HOW WE CALCULATE CAGR
Calculation of growth rates
Revenue Growth
To evaluate the companies’ revenue growth between fiscal years 2014 and 2024, our team of analysts calculated the CAGR of all companies and determined the Growth Champions by the highest CAGR.
CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate)
The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) is an essential metric in comparing a company's performance to its competitors and identifying high growth potential in smaller companies that may be missed when only considering absolute growth figures.
Organic Growth
To ensure that a company’s revenue growth was primarily organic (arising from an increase in the company's own business activity rather than mergers or takeovers), Statista reviewed each company’s mergers and acquisitions history between fiscal year 2014 and fiscal year 2024. Statista reviewed each company's corporate structure to ensure they met the criteria of independence.

METHODOLOGY
How we work
Learn about our general approach to creating rankings for fastest growing companies. Further details about how the ranking was created can be found in the Europe’s Long-Term Growth Champions 2026 methodology.
01 Concept
The Fastest Growing Companies project ranks businesses based on their revenue growth percentage over three years, focusing on organic growth. The rankings include companies that meet set criteria like revenue thresholds, independence and financial performance.
02 Data Collection
For data collection, we create online application forms that eligible companies can use to register and submit financial and business information. Additionally, our analysts identify potential candidates for the rankings through research in company databases and other public sources, inviting them to apply for the ranking via mail, email or phone.
03 Evaluation
In order to evaluate candidates, revenue figures are verified by company management, with additional checks for small or unincorporated companies. Revenue growth rates are then calculated using the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) based on the companies’ reported figures. For better comparability, all revenues are standardized to a single currency.
04 Quality Assurance
Our team of analysts rigorously checks and verifies submissions, researches missing data in public and proprietary sources, and excludes companies that do not meet the eligibility criteria. A minimum growth rate is required for inclusion in each ranking.
Partnership
Our media partner
