Project Details
About the project
For the France’s Fastest-Growing Companies 2025 project, tens of thousands of companies were identified as potential candidates through extensive research in company databases and public resources. These were then invited to participate in the ranking along with other companies who had registered online via Les Echos’ website and our own registration page.
To be eligible for the ranking, companies had to have a primarily organic revenue of at least €100,000 in 2020 and at least €1,500,000 by 2023 with a minimum average growth rate of 9.7%. Companies also had to be independent and headquartered in France. Companies that did not fulfill these criteria were removed.
Although the ranking was created through a complex procedure, it does not claim to be complete, as some companies did not want to make their figures public or did not participate for other reasons.
The final list is published online and as a special report in Les Echos Week-End magazine. It recognizes the top 400 fastest-growing companies in France, segmented into 26 industries.
HOW WE CALCULATE CAGR
Calculation of growth rates
Company growth rate is based on revenue figures provided by the evaluated companies. For this, we use the Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) formula:

METHODOLOGY
How we work
Learn about our general approach to creating rankings for fastest growing companies. Further details about how the ranking was created can be found in the France’s Fastest-Growing Companies 2025 methodology.
01 Concept
The Fastest Growing Companies project ranks businesses based on their revenue growth percentage over three years, focusing on organic growth. The rankings include companies that meet set criteria like revenue thresholds, independence and financial performance.
02 Data Collection
For data collection, we create online application forms that eligible companies can use to register and submit financial and business information. Additionally, our analysts identify potential candidates for the rankings through research in company databases and other public sources, inviting them to apply for the ranking via mail, email or phone.
03 Evaluation
In order to evaluate candidates, revenue figures are verified by company management, with additional checks for small or unincorporated companies. Revenue growth rates are then calculated using the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) based on the companies’ reported figures. For better comparability, all revenues are standardized to a single currency.
04 Quality Assurance
Our team of analysts rigorously checks and verifies submissions, researches missing data in public and proprietary sources, and excludes companies that do not meet the eligibility criteria. A minimum growth rate is required for inclusion in each ranking.
