Project Details
About the project
The second edition of Germany’s Top Continuing Education Providers highlights the leading 133 providers operating in Germany based on the opinions of more than 5000 users of continuing education programs. To be included in the survey, the provider had to be accessible to customers in Germany. An initial longlist of over 1000 providers was researched and considered eligible for further consideration in the survey. Using our scoring model, we weighted the data from the survey and ranked the top performing providers in 13 categories.
Scoring
The three evaluation dimensions of the ranking
Implementation: In each category, respondents rated the continuing education providers they had personally used, using a scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 10 (strongly agree). The overall score was calculated based on three evaluation dimensions: learning quality (50%), value for money (25%), and satisfaction/willingness to recommend (25%), each on a scale of 0 to 100 points.
For the categories "Professional Training (with qualification)" and "Professional Training," the value for money dimension was excluded. In these cases, the overall score was determined by learning quality (62.5%) and satisfaction/recommendation (37.5%).
Evaluation: To be recognized as one of "Germany's Top Continuing Education Providers," a provider needed to achieve an overall score of at least 70 out of 100 points. Additionally, providers with the highest score in any individual evaluation criterion received a "Special Recognition." Rankings within each category were determined based on the overall score.
Learning quality (50%)
Respondents were asked for their personal assessment of the importance of the aspects that describe learning quality: evaluation of learning materials, learning content, learning effect and service/support.
Value for money (25%)
Users were asked whether they considered the provider's price-performance ratio to be appropriate in a particular category.
Satisfaction and willingness to recommend (25%)
Respondents who had experience with a provider in a category were asked to indicate their satisfaction and willingness to recommend the provider.
METHODOLOGY
How we work
Learn about our approach to creating this rankings. Further details about how the ranking was created can be found in the Top Continuing Education Providers in Germany 2025 methodology in German.
01 Concept
The concept behind Top Continuing Education Providers in Germany 2025 (“Deutschlands Top Weiterbildungsanbieter 2025”) was to conduct a large-scale, independent survey among 5,000 users of educational programs to identify and highlight the best continuing education providers in Germany, distinguished by high learning quality, customer satisfaction, and good value. The study aims to offer a reliable benchmark for learners and grant the recognized institutions an official Statista quality seal.
02 Data collection
The ranking is based on an independent survey of users of continuing education providers, conducted by our team of analysts at Statista R. For this purpose, we developed a detailed online questionnaire focused on continuing education. To ensure high-quality participation, we collaborated with a world-leading online access panel to recruit suitable respondents. Throughout the survey, all incoming responses were carefully reviewed for quality and validity, with unreliable data filtered out based on factors such as interview length, inconsistencies, and unusual variances.
03 Evaluation
Our scoring model is based on several evaluation dimensions: learning quality (50%), value for money (25%), and satisfaction and willingness to recommend (25%).
04 Quality Assurance
For each potentially recognized provider, we researched the website, brand name, and continuing education offerings. This step serves as quality assurance and is provided as information in the publication.
